We are taking the Eastern Caribbean Cruise on the Fantasy in Feb 2013. When we stop at the ports do we HAVE to have a planned excursion to go on or can we just get off the ship and do our own wandering? Thank you!

    Hi AnnMarie!

You are going to adore the Disney Fantasy!  It's a magnificent ship with so much to see and do!  You'll be amazed by it all...not to mention, completely spoiled by the superior attention and service you'll receive from the crew.

You do not have to book any excursions.  In fact, there have been many times over the years when my family and I have just wandered around the ports and did our own sightseeing.   One tip:  you can either have breakfast or lunch onboard before exploring or order sandwiches from room service and take them with you so you don't have to spend any money on food. Souvenir shopping is so much more fun!

Please let me know if you have any other questions.  I'm happy to help.  Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel and bon voyage AnnMarie!
