We are taking the Disney Dream cruise on June 27, 2013 and will be flying in from NJ. Do you recommend that we fly in the night before and stay at a local hotel to insure we are at the ship on time or will leaving early that morning allow enough time?

    Ahoy Kathy!
Welcome back to the Moms Panel!  The dog days of summer will be here before you know it, and you will be preparing for an exciting voyage on the stunning Disney Dream!  Arriving the day before is always a good plan especially when air travel is involved.  It makes for a very smooth land to sea transition on your cruise departure morning, and it also means you are adding an extra day to your vacation!
If you do decide to fly in the day before, I have two recommendations for hotel accommodations.  First, the Hyatt, which is connected to the Orlando Airport, is not only convenient, but allows you to utilize Disney Cruise Line ground transportation to Port Canaveral.  They also offer luggage pick-up on the morning of your cruise, and it is an easy walk back over to the Magical Express Welcome Center to hop on the comfortable, air-conditioned motor coach.  Currently, pricing is $70 per person for a round-trip voucher, but pricing is always subject to change.
The other option I recommend is to take advantage of being so close to the magic of Walt Disney World and booking a pre-cruise stay at any resort on property.  Free transportation is available to the resort, and your family can begin your vacation enjoying all the wonderful accommodations and amenities offered at the resort of your choice.  The next morning, a Disney Cruise Line motor coach bus will deliver you right to the spacious Disney Cruise Line Terminal.  Ground transportation pricing from Walt Disney World to Port Canaveral is the same as I mentioned above.
I hope this helps, Kathy!  Please keep me posted as you continue to plan for your June journey onboard the Disney Dream!
