Taking Disney cruise in 2 wks & staying @ P.O. night before departure. Checked in to resort online & realized we don't have mag. bands since not going to parks. What do we use for room key? Can we go straight to room on arrival?

    Hi Erin,

How exciting that you will be sailing on a Disney Cruise Line ship very soon. I have sailed on all four ships and still cannot decide if I have a favorite one. Each one has its own charm. And what better way than to stay at Walt Disney World Resort for your pre or post cruise days.
All Disney Resort Hotel Guests receive a complimentary MagicBand even if you do not purchase Theme Park Tickets. They are used as your room key, and also to board Disney's Magical Express. The MagicBands can be customized ahead of time up to 30 days in advance and they will be mailed to you.

You can also do Online Check-In. If you have a credit card on file and have another MagicBand active on your account (like a custom one, or one from a prior trip), you may be offered the option to go straight to your room. You will receive a text message on your phone when your room is ready with your room number, and you will be able to go straight to it. If you do not have any active bands on your account, don't worry. You will need to stop by the Front Desk to get your MagicBands.

One last tip: remember to book your Disney Cruise Line transfers between Walt Disney World Resort and the port as it needs to be done ahead of time. See you real soon!
