We are taking our 1st Disney cruise on Sept 24 (Fantasy) with our 15 month and 4 year old. I could really use some advice on excursions for Tortola and St Thomas since our kids are so young. Thanks in advance!

    Ahoy, Leonard!
Your first Disney Cruise vacation will be here real soon, and Mickey and his seafaring crew can't wait to welcome you aboard! Venturing ashore is always fun because it allows you the chance to experience the sights, sounds and smells of the Caribbean firsthand. My children were around the same ages as yours on our first Disney Cruise, and we found that it was best to plan port adventures that weren't too far from the pier and didn't require us to be gone the entire day. I looked through the options for St. Thomas and Tortola and recommend checking out the following-Butterfly Anytime and the Skyride to Paradise Point and any of the options for Coral World (St. Thomas) and the Island Drive and Beach Break (Tortola).
I realized early on during our first cruise that the ship is truly a destination in itself, so it worked out well that I had not planned to be off the ship for very long. My son loved spending time splashing around on the pool deck in the toddler area or visiting the nursery for playtime (an hourly rate does apply and reservations are required). My daughter fell in love with the Oceaneer Club and enjoyed both the planned programming and free time while there.
Even though the ship is docked, there is still a lot to experience on board the Disney Fantasy. After you've rested from your time ashore, check out the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app and the daily cruise newsletter, the Personal Navigator, to see what's happening on board.
    Thanks for stopping by, Leonard!
    Bon Voyage!
