Hi There! We are taking our daughter to WDW for the first time this December! We are beyond excited! Right now we are booked to stay at AOA in the little mermaid room. Are there any big differences & advantages btw our room and the Family suites? Thank

    Hey Emily!

Thank you so much for coming to see us today!  December is an absolutely magical time for a first visit to Walt Disney World!  I love seeing everything dressed up in its holiday finest.  It's like a whole extra level of pixie dust has fallen on the resort.

The main difference between the Little Mermaid Standard Rooms and the Family Suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort will be space.  The Little Mermaid rooms are standard hotel rooms while the Family Suites have two rooms, two bathrooms, and a kitchenette area.  If you do not need the extra space of a Family Suite, I definitely suggest sticking with your current room and putting the savings toward other extras during your vacation!   We find the Standard Rooms to be large enough, even for our family of four.

Please let me know if you have any other questions, Emily. I am so excited for you to take your daughter on her first Walt Disney World vacation! It's truly a special moment you'll both remember forever.

    Have a magical day,
    Ashley
