We are taking my daughter who will be just shy of 2 to Disney World in July. When I selected Magic Bands for my husband, myself, and my grandmother who is joining us, it did not give me the option to select one for my daughter. Does she just not need one?

    Hi Alyssa!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

I love that you'll be bringing three generations of family members on your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. With a little one and a grandparent in your traveling party, you're sure to make magical memories to last a lifetime! I hope you'll take advantage of PhotoPass photography services while you're there, to capture those picture-perfect precious moments that you'll treasure forever.

Your little princess, at the age of two, will not need a MagicBand for your Walt Disney World visit. MagicBands function as your theme park ticket, room key, FastPass+, and can be used to make charges to your resort hotel room. Since children under the age of three don't require a park ticket (yay for freebies!), your little one won't have a MagicBand assigned to her.

Your daughter also won't be required to have her own FastPass+ reservation to experience a ride or attraction, but the adults accompanying her on the ride will need to have them for themselves. FastPass+ is used to reserve select rides/shows/attractions in advance, and you'll enjoy smaller lines and shorter wait times for your selected experiences. Walt Disney World was created with families in mind, and there are plenty of rides and attractions you can enjoy with your little one!

Please let us know if we can help answer any other questions before your Disney vacation. Thanks again for stopping by - have a magical day! - Diane W.
