I am taking my daughter to the Magic Kingdom for her birthday. We have been many times before but always had 4 or 5 day park hopper tickets. What is the best option/deal for a one day ticket?

Hi, Kelly, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Birthdays at Magic Kingdom Park are the best! I'm sure both you and your daughter are excited about her upcoming celebration.

Walt Disney World Resort recently introduced date-based tickets and pricing in order to provide Guests with flexibility and options to choose from to meet their individual needs. Currently, the lowest-price 1-day ticket starts at $109 (before tax), but prices vary depending on the date(s) you choose to visit the Theme Parks. During August 2019, single-day tickets currently range from $109 to $125, with the lowest priced tickets offered between August 26 and August 29.

The new interactive calendar on the Walt Disney World Resort website displays the prices for single-day adult tickets one month at a time. Clicking on "August" will let you see each day's price and help you determine which day might be the most cost-effective for your visit. (You can also view this information on the My Disney Experience mobile app.)

Should you change your mind about the date you want to visit after you've purchased your tickets, you can modify your ticket type and/or date prior to midnight Eastern Time of the day before your ticket's first valid use date. Should you choose a date with a higher price, you will need to pay the difference. No refunds will be given, though, if you change to a date with a lower price.

Please let us know if you have any other questions about the new date-based ticket system, Kelly. We'd be happy to help.
