We are taking our 2nd cruise in in 33 days (and counting). Can we use Disney gift cards to pay for booking another cruise while we are on the cruise? Thank you so very much! Carla

    Ahoy, Carla!

Rebooking a future Disney Cruise during a current sailing is such a smart idea! It helps take the sting out of Debarkation Day if you've already got a future cruise on the calendar, and you'll also enjoy special Onboard sales offers! Details of specific savings can be found on flyers delivered to your stateroom during your sailing, or you can stop by the Future Cruise Sales Desk (Deck 4, Midship) for more information. Typically guests will receive a percentage off the cost of the cruise, a reduced deposit amount, and an onboard credit when you rebook onboard!

I wasn't sure if you'd be able to use a Disney Gift Card to pay the deposit on your future cruise, so I checked with the folks at Disney Cruise Line. I was told they didn't see any reason why you couldn't use a gift card, but they also couldn't confirm that you could. I encourage you to speak with one of the Future Cruise Onboard Sales Managers to discuss your payment options.

When booking a future cruise with an Onboard offer, the deposit is typically charged to the credit card linked to your stateroom. If you're concerned that your credit card may have a large balance at the end of your cruise, one way to use your Disney Gift Card is to apply the funds to your stateroom account to offset the cost of extras purchased during your cruise. Simply stop by Guest Services at any time during your cruise to apply your gift card to your onboard account. Make sure to hang on to your gift card - any unused funds will be put back on the card at the end of your sailing! To combine the balances of multiple Disney Gift Cards, you can visit disneygiftcard.com. First-time guests to the site will need to register before entering gift card information and managing their card balances. Once registered, you can transfer the balances of all of your cards to one card to keep things simple.

I hope this helps with your planning! - Diane W.
