i am taking my children and grandchild to Disney Sept of next year, one of the days we are their will be my son's 5th birthday, do you have any ideas on how or what can we do to celebrate it. this will be his first time and I want to make it memorable

    Hi Wandalie!

There isn't a better place to celebrate a birthday then Walt Disney World. This will be exciting and memorable no matter what you decide to do.

If your son is in love with pirates you might consider a pirate makeover at Pirates League. Check out this site to see all the wonderful options available. You can end that day with the family all enjoying a Pirates and Pals Cruise to view the Magic Kingdom firework show with some very friendly Disney Pirates along for the ride.

Definitely pick up a Happy Birthday button at your resort or the parks for your son to wear all day. Cast members and guests will be wishing him a Happy Birthday everywhere.

A birthday is not a birthday without a cake so make sure you check out the Disney Cakes that can be ordered and delivered to restaurants or your room. If your budget allows you can also have the Disney Floral and Gifts come quietly to your room and decorate it while you are gone to the parks. If you don't want to spend that much money they also have simple birthday gifts and arrangements which can also be delivered. When your son comes back to the room to see that surprise the reaction will be priceless.

Last, perhaps purchase one of the Mickey Birthday Ears for him to wear all day....he will feel very special and the attention he receives from everyone will have him smiling from ear to ear! Whatever you decide to do will be special because you are in the most magical place in the world where he will be turning five!
