Hello! We are taking my almost 2 year old to Disney World for the first time. He LOVES Mickey Mouse! Any tips or suggestions for great experiences for my little buddy? Thanks so much! We are so excited!

    Hi there, Emily!

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Mom's Panel with your question!  Although you can still meet Mickey Mouse through character meet and greets around the parks, my favorite way to meet Mickey without the hassle of waiting in line is through Character Dining

A great Character Dining experience is at Chef Mickey's inside Disney's Contemporary Resort.  Chef Mickey's offers a delicious buffet for breakfast, brunch and dinner.  It's a great opportunity to meet characters like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Pluto and Goofy!

Another option is Mickey's Backyard BBQ in the Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.  Mickey's Backyard BBQ offers characters like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and Chip 'n Dale.  Not only is this a great character buffet, but Mickey's Backyard BBQ includes a hootin' tootin' dinner show to enjoy while you dine!

If you miss any of the characters after you're finished eating, notify a cast member to help you get those last pictures in before you leave!  Please note that all character experiences are subject to change.

Some additional options for Character Dining can be found here.  Enjoy your stay at Walt Disney World, Emily!

    Magically yours in 2018,

    Jacqui.
