How does the room-key-charging system work? I understand when I check in to the WDW Resort and provide my credit/debt card it makes it possible for me to charge things to my room account...Do they put a "hold" on your CC/D and if so how much? (7n

Hi Stephanie! Yes, your "Key to the World" is your guest room key and you can opt to have charging privileges on keys provided to those in your travel party. For example, I opt to have privileges on the keys for my Hubby and I. A charge limit is established at check-in and you should sign your key immediately. Any charges you make to your key are tallied and charged to the credit card you provided upon check-out from the resort. You will be given a bill the morning of your departure and if all charges are correct, you can use express check out. If you have any disputes, you can return to concierge/front desk for assistance.

I enjoy using my key to make purchases. I do not have to carry any additional identification, because the Cast Members check the signature on your key to the receipt signature. It is like having a credit card and identification in one. More importantly, I put the key in my swim short's pocket or my hubby puts it in his trunk's pocket and we have easy access to pool side food, beverage, and rentals.

It is my honest opinion that the "Key to the World" and resort package delivery are two awesome perks of staying on resort property and make your vacation all the more enjoyable. Have a Magical Vacation!
