I am surprising my 11 year old daughter with her first trip to Disney. It is also my first trip. I am so overwhelmed. She will be turning 12 while we are there and I want something special for her. Any suggestions?

    Hi, Rachael!

Hooray for birthdays! There is no better place to celebrate than Walt Disney World!

Start with a quick visit to any Guest Services desk to ask for your free "Happy Birthday" button. Your princess can proudly wear her button to let everyone know that it is her special day.

No birthday is complete without a cake! Arrange to have a special birthday cake delivered to your dinner during your stay. I just celebrated a Disney birthday with a friend a few days ago and I can say the cakes are fresh and delicious and such a fun way to add to the celebration. Add a cake to any of your dining reservations by calling (407)WDW-DINE.

Before you leave for your vacation, pick-up a birthday card. Disney pals can sign it in lieu of an autograph book during any character meet and greets you go to. What a great way to remember this special birthday.

Since it is your first trip, just a quick checklist - make sure the following is complete:
    -Online check-in
    -Disney's Magical Express scheduled
    -FastPass+ selections made
    -Disney Dining reservations secured
    -Getting ready for some FUN!

Best birthday wishes to your daughter and pixie dust for a fabulous first visit to Walt Disney World!
