We are surprising our two kids (boy 6 & girl 8) with a day at Disneyland. Since we have a very limited amount of time, do you have any suggestions of what we must do to get the full experience? Is it best to stay on the property? We will be there 2 ni

Hello Kristi, thank you for taking the time to stop by the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

It looks like your arrival at the Disneyland Resort coincides with Spring Break for many school districts. I would expect the parks to be more crowded. To fully take in what the parks have to offer during that time, it would be a good idea to stay at a Disneyland Resort hotel. Not only are you in close proximity to both Disneyland and California Adventure parks, you and your family are also able to take advantage of select popular attractions at one of the parks during Extra Magic Hour. My family and I love Radiator Springs Racers and Toy Story Mania so we make it a point to ride these during the Extra Magic Hour at California Adventure. And when the parks get crowded later on in the day, it is so easy to get back to your hotel room to relax or swim in the pools!

The Paint the Night Parade at Disneyland is definitely a hit with my kids, and they enjoy using their Made with Magic paint brushes to interact with the parade dancers! The Disneyland Forever fireworks spectacular and the World of Color - Celebrate! The Wonderful World of Walt Disney are amazing nighttime entertainment unique to the Diamond Celebration! Also, if you have Star Wars fans in your household, don't miss the Season of Force at Tomorrowland!

I hope you and your family will have a magical time on your upcoming trip to the Disneyland Resort. Please stop by the panel again if you have more questions for me!

    Have a wonderful day,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

I am a wife and mother to 2 children, a 14 year old daughter and 9 year old son. I have always enjoyed going to Disneyland Resort as a child and now that I am a mother, I love watching my children experience Disneyland Resort through their eyes. It is a true delight seeing my daughter wear a ball gown walking side by side with Cinderella or my son jumping gleefully after he defeated Darth Maul in a light saber duel! Learn More About Kiki
