We are surprising our kids with a trip to disneyworld and would love a cute/fun way of letting them know we are going. We dont want to tell them until the night before or at the airport and wanted fun ways to do it. Ideas?

Hi, Dan!  One of the most fun things I've ever done with my girls is to take them to the airport under the guise of picking someone up.  They were young enough to not know that we wouldn't have been able to go to the gate due to security, and they sat there, happily waiting to meet "an old friend".  When our flight was called, we told them the "old friend" wanted us to come see him, and it was Mickey Mouse!  They were so excited!

Another thing I've done is let the kids know I'm packing for a trip, and I put a suitcase on their beds.  I start by handing them things they know we need for every trip - pajamas, socks, etc.  Then I started handing them Walt Disney World vacation things - Disney themed t-shirts, Disney crocs, Disney sunglasses, an autograph book, and finally some theme park maps.  The little one took a while to get it, but the middle daughter was bouncing with excitement by the time we got to the sunglasses.

You could also do a scavenger hunt while they help you pack, having them chase through the house for things they'll need in their suitcase.  You can end with something that very definitely says they are going to Walt Disney World!

I hope the vacation is as magical as the method you use to tell them!
