We are surprising our 3 kids with a Disney cruise over Christmas and in the past have done the WDW experience, so wondering if we also have magic bands for the Cruise. I would appreciate any info/must needs for the cruise versus WDW. Thank you

    Ahoy Niki –

Welcome aboard to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. As an experienced “Mouseketeer,” you have an inside track to the wonderful world of Disney customer service, extensive theming and fabulous fun. With Disney Cruise Line, your pirate crew will enjoy the same care with the luxury of visiting exciting ports of call. Cruising is another amazing way to “do Disney” that will tempt you to come back again and again. And with a December sailing, your pirate sea pups will have a wonderful Christmas celebrating the holidays Disney-style with a Very Merrytime Cruise.

Magic bands are used on the cruise ships in the Oceaneer Club and the Nursery for secure check-in and pick-up of your children. Everywhere else, guests use their “Key to The World Card” as their stateroom key, a way to charge items to their stateroom, and finally the Key is used for embarkation and debarkation. There is not much needed for the cruise versus Walt Disney World except you will need to have proper documentation to board.

Niki, for more information please watch the attached helpful video, and if you need additional assistance, please come back to “sea” us.
