DH surprised us for X-mas with a trip to Disney! Would like to plan something special for him as a thank you. Will have 2 young kids (4 & 1) so going somewhere without them isn't really an option. Any ideas? We're staying at POP in April for 7 nights.

    Hi, Danielle!

What a wonderful surprise for you and your family.  Your hubby really did well with this one!

Here are some ideas to say "thanks" for the magical vacation!

-Plan to have lunch or dinner at the ESPN Club on the Boardwalk.  This is every guy's dream restaurant filled with lots of food and lots of big screen TV's!  Your little ones will have fun with all the big screens and plenty of kid-friendly food options.

-Order a giant Mickey Mouse balloon from  It will be a fun way to say "thank you" and your kids will get a kick out of finding the balloon when you come back to your resort room.

-Take some special photos of your kids with Dad while in the parks.  Before you leave for vacation, pick up a photo mat for a frame.  Have the characters sign it while on vacation.  When you get home, use one of your magical photos with the mat and put into a special frame for a wonderful souvenir keepsake.

-During one of your kids' afternoon naps, give Dad the afternoon off to venture out for 9 holes of golf, rent a Sea Raycer on Seven Seas Lagoon, or even head to the Richard Petty Driving Experience to take for a spin in a real race car!  Just a little time off by himself as a "thank you" for the vacation!

I hope this gives you some ideas.  If you need other suggestions or more information on anything I mentioned, let me know!  Have fun planning your holiday to Walt Disney World!
