Going on a surprise trip with my 9yr old daughter in August. I know it will be hot. Can you please tell me when the park hours will be released? Will the extra magic hours be released at the same time. I am staying on site. I would like to plan ahead.

    Hi Debra,

Your princess is going to be SO EXCITED when she finds out that she gets to go to the most magical place on earth! You two are going to make memories together that you'll both cherish forever!

You'll find park hours, Extra Magic Hours, and even parade and nighttime fireworks showtimes released approximately 180 days in advance. That's a really big milestone planning date, too, because you can begin making your dining reservations 180 days beforehand, too! Since you'll be staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you have the added benefit of making your dining reservations for the entire length of your stay at that point. There are SO many great places to choose from, but a character meal is always something really special. After you make your dining reservations, the next big planning step is to choose your FastPass+ selections beginning 60 days before your check-in date. It's so fun when you see your itinerary really start to come together, and at that point you know you're in full-on countdown mode!

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Debra, and please let us know if we can help with anything else as you're planning your trip. I hope that you and your daughter have a truly magical vacation together this summer!
