Inroom Celebration

I want to surprise my daughter with decorating the room for her birthday. I really wanted to get some iconic Mickey balloons for the celebration but we will be in Epcot and they don't sell them there. What is the best solution for me?

Hello Kristina! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Celebrating a birthday at Walt Disney World Resort adds an additional layer to an Endless Magical Experience. There is something extra special about a decorated room that personalizes the experience for kids.

During my family's Walt Disney World Resort vacations, I usually bring several pre-bought Disney decorations or "Tinker Bell Gifts" to leave around the room for my kids to find in the mornings or upon returning from a day at the Theme Parks. I usually pick up the items from my local Disney Store or from the Disney Store Online and pack them in our luggage. I find this more effectively controls how much I spend on souvenirs at the Theme Parks while customizing our Resort Hotel Room in an effectively affordable manner.

I have never had to decorate an entire room for a Birthday celebration, however.

Your best course of action, Kristina, is to visit Disney Floral and Gifts and browse the wonderful packages they have available for those celebrating a birthday. Not only do they deliver to all Walt Disney World Resort Hotels but in many instances, it can be arranged to have the decorations/gift packages set-up in your Hotel Room for a special surprise waiting for the birthday girl.

Remember to look at customized cake options at Disney Dining Locations and be sure to pick up a Birthday Celebratory Button at Guest Services at any Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park. Cast Members always go out of their way to ensure a Birthday is special and a button is an excellent way to help them join in your celebration.

    Have a Magical Birthday!
