Summer planning question...We have 2 year olds (2) and 1 year old. Should we even go to Blizzard Beach? Is it worth spending the money on a water park ticket for mom and dad? Is there enough to do @ BB or better for another park day?

    Hi Kristin!

We have been taking our kids since they were 6 months old to the Walt Disney World Water Parks. I remember my son falling asleep in one of the kiddie tubes in Cross Country Creek, the lazy river at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, on his first visit.

There is plenty to do for little ones at Blizzard Beach! Tike's Peak is for children under 48". There are small slides, shallow water, sprayers, sand and slides you can go down with your kids. Little ones can also enjoy Teamboat Springs, which is a family raft ride you can all experience together. Melt-Away Bay is also a great one for relaxing in the gentle wave pool.

All kids meals are served in sand pails with a shovel that you can use to play in the sand. I.C. Expeditions offers the best sundae called The Sand Pail that includes chocolate and vanilla ice cream, waffle cone pieces, sprinkles, cookie pieces, hot fudge, caramel sauce, whip cream and a cherry also served in a sand pail. Wow! This is a family friendly (massive) sundae that everyone can share.  Another favorite treat of mine at the water parks are the mini donuts that pair deliciously with chocolate dipping sauce.

    Have a magical day!
