Hello moms! Do you have any suggestions on how to spend our 4 days at the parks with 1 boy (age 6), and 2 girls (ages 11 and 13)? What parks would be best for us? Thank you!

    Hi Dana!

I would plan on spending 2 days at the Magic Kingdom and 1 day at Disney's Hollywood Studios for sure.  The last day really depends on your children likes and dislikes.  I can see spending the last day at Epcot or at Disney's Animal Kingdom.  While Epcot has a reputation for not being kid-friendly, I don't think that's true.  In fact, both of my boys (ages 12 and 7) have always enjoyed Epcot... but not the whole park.  Epcot is basically two parks in one:  Future World and World Showcase.  My boys have always loved Future World.  Key attractions for both of them are Soarin', Test Track, and the Seas with Nemo and Friends.  In fact, my youngest son always wants to visit the Seas with Nemo and Friends on every visit to Walt Disney World.  World Showcase, on the other hand, has not been a huge hit with my children.  World Showcase consists of pavilions around World Showcase Lagoon representing various countries.  It's a great place for adults, but not so exciting for young children.  The pavilions mainly consist of shopping and dining, though a couple do have a boat ride or a movie about the country.

Disney's Animal Kingdom is great, especially if you have any thrill seekers in your party.  Expedition Everest is very popular among the roller coaster lovers; it's my oldest son's favorite attraction at Walt Disney World.  Animal Kingdom also has two great shows that are "must do's":  Finding Nemo the Musical and Festival of the Lion King.  Both are fabulous.

By the way, you didn't say when you are going to Walt Disney World.  If you are not going during a crowded time, then you can probably do the Magic Kingdom in one day, allowing you to visit all of the parks.  That might be the best approach, especially if this is your first trip to Walt Disney World!

Good luck with planning and write back if you have any more questions!
