Any suggestions for 2 seniors traveling w/o kids trying to get the most for our money?

Hi, Judy!   There are many ways to stretch your Mickey Dollars while vacationing in WDW!

Start by planning ahead.   Before leaving for your vacation, go to a local discount store and pick-up rain ponchos, refillable sports bottles, sunscreen, and crackers or small snacks.  Pack this all in a bag that you can take to the parks each day.   You can get free cups of ice water at counter service restaurants to keep your bottles filled, so the water along with your light snacks will keep you going between meals.

Plan to have a light breakfast in your room, or grab a muffin or bagel in your resort's food court.   Make lunch your main meal of the day.  Often times, buffets or menu items at table service restaurants will have a lower price point at lunch.  You can enjoy the same great food and atmosphere while saving a few dollars.  Schedule your lunch on the later side, and you then grab a quick service dinner, or even enjoy a hot dog on Main Street at Casey's - a fun dinner in the Magic Kingdom!

If you are staying on property, do not rent a car.   Disney provides all the transportation you will need with Magical Express for airport transportation and there are buses, monorails, and boats to get you around property.

When you book a room on Disney property, book a Standard Room or Standard View.   Value Resorts will be the most economical.   When you purchase your tickets, do not add on park hopping or other options.  The add-ons are nice, but cutting them out is a very easy way to save money.

When booking your vacation, check for Special Offers on the home page of www.disneyworld.com.   There are often some great deals that can make a vacation very affordable.

Once you have your vacation booked, let the MOMS know if you have any more questions!  We are happy to help.  Have fun planning a your magical vacation!
