Preschooler on Carousel

Where are strollers not allowed? If not in restaurants, how else can I set my 5 mo old down while I eat?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sarah! I’ve taken my preschooler and baby to the parks many times, and much to my tummy’s happiness, also enjoyed many a meal with my family!

Whether we are sitting down to mini corn dogs at Casey’s Corner, or taking in characters at 1900 Park Fare, there are a few things you can do to make sure you get fed as well as baby. At a casual, quick service restaurant, I’ve seen strollers wheeled in and around, especially at one with outdoor seating such as Flame Tree BBQ or Casey’s Corner. At any table service restaurant, you’ll be asked to park your stroller outside the restaurant. If your little Hercules can’t quite sit up in a high chair yet, you can easily baby wear at the table (I prefer a breathable soft structure carrier like Ergo or Lillebaby for the Florida heat) or pass your babe around and take turns with your fellow dinner mates to entertain little Rapunzel. The other option is to use a travel system as your stroller during the day, and bring baby into the restaurant using the car seat. Many, if not all, restaurants offer a car seat sling that can accommodate the carrier while you eat.

I hope you enjoy your vacation with your family, and please remember that the Baby Care Centers are a great place to change a diaper, feed in private, recharge, relax, and stock up on essentials. If you have any other questions, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
