Are strollers allowed while waiting in lines for attractions? Is it more difficult to navigate through places with a double stroller versus 2 singles? Are there photos of these strollers online? Can they be reserved prior to arrival?

    Hi Diane ~

I've been wheeling through Walt Disney World with a stroller for the past 15 years. I started with infants in strollers to now traveling with my special needs son in a large special needs stroller.

Strollers are not permitted in lines unless they are being used as a wheelchair. You can use a stroller through part of the queue for Kilimanjaro Safaris, but you will have to park it once you get closer to the boarding area.

Traveling with a single versus a double stroller is a matter of preference. I've tried both and I preferred traveling with a double stroller in the parks. That way we only had one stroller to keep up with which gave one of us a break from pushing. I found that to be handy when one of the kids wanted a break from the stroller because it freed one of us up to hold their hand and keep a close eye on them. Even though a double stroller was larger to fold for traveling on the buses, one of us could hold the stroller while the other held onto the boys. If you are traveling with more than two adults in your party, you would have more free hands to help with two single strollers versus one double stroller.

There are no pictures of the strollers for rent at the Walt Disney World Resort on their official website. However, you can find some pictures on allears.net.

Strollers can't be reserved in advance. If you would like to rent a stroller at Disney World, you will need to wait until you arrive at the theme parks. If you plan to rent more than one day, you can save a little money by doing a length of stay rental.

There are several private local companies that offer stroller rentals for Guests visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. These companies will deliver and pick-up your stroller to your resort hotel. You can find some recommendations on the link above.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
