Hi, Jessica! I think you may be talking about the
Rider Switch system. If this does not sound like what fits your family's needs, stop by
my page and we will dig a little deeper together.
The Rider Switch system allows families to experience all of the great attractions Walt Disney World Resort has to offer, even if they have children that have not yet met the height requirements of some attractions. To utilize this system, all members of your party will check in with the Cast Members at the entrance to an attraction and let them know you need a Rider Switch pass. The Cast Members will issue you a pass good for any time the rest of that day. One member of your party will stay behind with the little ones while the other members experience the attraction together. After they exit, the remaining adult can then present the Rider Switch pass to enter the FastPass+ queue with up to two other Guests.
Guests are able to utilize the FastPass+ system along with the Rider Switch system. This can ensure that everyone is able to enter the FastPass+ queue and bypass potentially long waits in the regular standby queue. However, if your party does not hold FastPass+ selections for the attraction when you approach the Cast Members, then the members of the first group heading into the attraction will need to enter the standby queue.
I hope you have a magical stay with your family at Walt Disney World Resort, Jessica. Let us know if you have any further questions regarding the Rider Switch system.
