we get our stroller designated as a wheelchair for our special needs daughter. With 2 kids under 4, we'd like to bring our double stroller instead of 2 individual ones. do side-by-side strollers fit in the handicap entrances for the rides?

Hello Wendy!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  Your question is a good one, and unfortunately there is no standard answer to give you.  I was just at Walt Disney World with a guest in a wide wheelchair and for the most part, there was absolutely plenty of room.  For some of the older attractions, the access is slightly narrower, and a little tight around corners, but we still managed. These accesses are designed not only for guests in wheelchairs, but also electric convenience vehicles (scooters), so they are usually pretty roomy.  I will tell you that you may run into more difficulty maneuvering through crowds with a double-wide stroller - you may want to consider bringing two separate strollers to make things easier for yourselves.

Wendy, be sure to stop by Guest Relations when you enter the Theme Parks to pick up the Guide for Guests with Disabilities.  This may be helpful to you in locating wheelchair friendly entrances, information on transferring for rides, etc.

I wish you and your family a very magical Walt Disney World vacation!  Please let me know if I can assist you with any other questions.  It would be my pleasure to help!
