We'll be stopping at Falmouth in May and looking at the Dunns River Falls express with lunch. Is there any way to know where they stop for lunch? I've heard of a few places not to pass up and I'm hoping we'll stop at one of them!

Ahoy Damaris!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

How exciting that you will be heading to Jamaica with Captain Mickey next month!  I am thrilled to hear that you are considering Dunn's River Falls!  This is my family's FAVORITE Port Adventure.  Whenever my daughter talks about vacation, the first thing she mentions is climbing the falls!

I spoke with the experts at Disney Cruise Line and the lunch stop is a tour company decision and is subject to change.  When we booked the Dunn's River Falls Express with Lunch, we stopped at Mystic Mountain and rode the ski lift up to the park for a jerk chicken picnic lunch.  Lunch was good and they did have other options for kids if they didn't want the chicken.  If you stop here, there is a beautiful view of the island as well as an infinity pool for a quick dip after lunch.

I have a few quick tips for you when planning an adventure at Dunn's River Falls.  First and most importantly, wear some sort of water shoes or sandals during the climb.  Bonus points if they have good grips on the bottom.  Second, bring a waterproof case for your phone or camera.  You will want to get pictures (and maybe even video) at certain stops during your climb.  It is well worth it!  Finally, if you do not want to purchase anything in the straw market as you head back to the bus, do not engage in conversation and keep walking!  My kind husband got roped into a conversation and almost missed the bus!  He did come home with two wood carvings that did turn out to bring us a lot of luck though.

Enjoy your Jamaican adventure!  Bon voyage!  Angie
