Hi Stephanie, I'm at the beginning stages of setting up Disney vacation for 2020. I would like to combine the cruise with the land, is that recommended and any suggestions for the combo vacation?

    Hi there, Lana!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I am so happy to help guide you in planning for what will definitely be a memorable and magical vacation!  You can never go wrong with a vacation to see Mickey Mouse and friends, whether that be at sea or on land or BOTH!  My number ONE recommendation when it comes to a Land and Sea adventure is to plan so that you visit the theme parks BEFORE heading to sea!  After the long, busy days at the theme parks you will welcome the relaxation that comes with a Disney Cruise Line vacation.

Since you will be in Orlando, the closest port to depart from is Port Canaveral, which is a short one-hour drive from Walt Disney World Resort.  So, I recommend looking through the itineraries that depart from Port Canaveral and narrowing down to a select sailing or month that you are looking to visit.  Then, contact Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 or your travel agent to inquire about their Land and Sea packages.  This combination package will allow you to get the best of both worlds – on land and at sea!  Disney Cruise Line can provide ground transportation to Port Canaveral from your Walt Disney World Resort hotel on the morning of your embarkation.

Once you’ve gotten your magical vacation booked, the real fun begins!  Planning for character dining experiences and making your FastPass+ selections, reserving onboard fun such as Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique makeovers and adult-exclusive dining is when it gets exciting!  Please come back then so I can help make your adventure on land and at sea unforgettable!
