We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge and have signed up for the Magical Express from Orlando Int'l Airport. Generally, how long does it take to get from the airport to the resort and checked in, and how does the baggage transfer work?

Hi Kim! Disney's Magical Express complimentary airport transportation service is such a great deal! I love the convenience of being able to walk off the plane and hop on a motorcoach to Disney World without the hassle of renting a car or retrieving my luggage at the baggage claim. The actual travel time between the airport and Walt Disney World is roughly 30 to 45 minutes. You can expect to arrive at the Wilderness Lodge within one to two hours of landing at the airport, depending on whether you have to wait a bit for the Magical Express bus and whether the motorcoach stops at other Disney resorts before delivering you to yours.

When you use Disney's Magical Express, you'll receive special luggage tags to attach to your bags. You won't need to stop at Baggage Claim to retrieve your bags -- Disney will do that for you and deliver them to your resort room later that day. It takes about four hours, sometimes longer, for your bags to arrive, so be sure to pack any items you might need sooner than that in your carry-on bag. My family likes to check in at our resort and then head off to the parks. (The check in process is fairly quick, unless you have to wait in line, and if your room is not ready Disney will text or call you when it is.) When we come back after our day in the parks, we love finding that our luggage has magically appeared in our room!
