We will be staying at Wilderness Lodge with kids ages 6 & 4. We have reservations for the 8:15 Spirit of Aloha. Should we do AK or Epcot, (FW only) before the show? We would like to have time to go back to our resort before the show.

    Jennifer:

Thanks for coming to visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

With children ages 4 and 6, I would think that you could easily enjoy all that Animal Kingdom has to offer and leave yourself plenty of time to head back to Wilderness Lodge to relax before heading to the Polynesian's Spirit of Aloha dinner show. Additionally, because such a large part of Epcot's draw is its IllumiNations show at 9 p.m. every night, I can't in good conscience recommend that you visit its Future World and then miss the laser and lights show to go to the dinner show. Animal Kingdom is my recommendation without reservation.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
