We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge June 19 thru the 27th. Can you tell me approx. how long it takes by WDW bus to arrive at the parks, including the 2 water parks from the resort?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Cherie!

I absolutely love Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort. It’s not only beautiful in all its rustic glory, but it is home to one of my favorite restaurants on property, Whispering Canyon Café. I was lucky enough to enjoy a belated anniversary meal recently and it was as tasty as it was fun! It might not be the most romantic spot on property, but it suits my husband and I just right; it’s silly, loud, and a Disney-kind of rowdy. Pretty perfect if you ask us! When you dine there, make sure you ask for some ketchup.

Cherie, rule of thumb when traveling between destinations at the Walt Disney World Resort is to allow 90-minutes. You don’t want to feel rushed during your vacation. On the My Disney Experience mobile app there is a great tool that helps with navigating the resort as it is quite large! By using  the search tool on the app located on the upper left corner, search for your destination. Once you locate it, select Get Directions. Type your desired location and the app will show you your transportation options and a travel time estimate. This tool comes in super handy when touring the parks.

I hope this information is helpful! Be sure to download the app before you arrive so you are ready to go once you are enjoying the magic! And for all those rowdy, fun, and tasty dining reservations, be sure to book them in advance. Space is limited so booking early is key! You can begin making all your reservations as early as 180-days before you arrive.

Have a magical day and I hope to see you here at the panel real soon!
