We are staying do a week with meal plan and standard park tickets. Do I need park hopper tickets to enter other resort hotels for dinner/meal reservations?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Patricia! Dining is one of my favorite things to do when I'm on vacation at Walt Disney World Resort so I'm glad to hear that you've added the Disney Dining Plan to your trip. When I use the Dining Plan, it really gives me and my family the flexibility to branch out and try some new things we've never had before while still being able to enjoy all of our classic favorites. With so many restaurants to try, I'm not surprised to hear that you want to test out the menus at a few of the different Theme Parks and I'm happy to walk you through exactly how to do that.

If you're spending the day at one Theme Park and you have a dining reservation at a different one, you will need a ticket with the Park Hopper Option in order to enter that second Theme Park for your meal. For example, if you enjoy a day at Magic Kingdom Park and have reservations for dinner at Le Cellier Steakhouse, you'll have to have a Park Hopper in order to get into Epcot so make sure that you consider what type of admission you have when you're making those bookings. There are a lot of incredible restaurants that you can enjoy without needing admission at all, inlcuding all of the restaurants at the Resort Hotels, so check out The BOATHOUSE and Wine Bar George at Disney Springs, or Yachtsman Steakhouse and Ale & Compass Restaurant at Disney's Yacht Club Resort, which are some of my favorite places to eat outside of the Theme Parks.

    Have a magical day, Patricia!
