We will be staying at WDW and using ME, but our flight does not depart Orlando until 6:00 pm. Can we check out of our hotel at 11:00, visit a park and still have the ME bring us to the airport?

Yes, absolutely, I have done this many times myself. In the morning, you should check out of your room as normal.

You have two choices of what to do with your luggage: send it ahead to the airport or store it at your hotel.

If your airline participates, you can check into your flight right at your hotel. Resort Airline Check-In is generally available from 5:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. seven days a week. Complete information on this service can be obtained by calling Airline Baggage Guest Services at 407-284-1231. I have found them to be very helpful in keeping track of the constantly changing baggage requirements and per-bag charges for the various airlines. There is great FAQ about Resort Airline Check-In found HERE on the Disney website.

If your airline does not participate, or if you choose not to use Resort Airline Check-in, you can have the hotel hold your bags for you. Simply bring your luggage to the Bell Services desk. They will tag it, give you a receipt, and store it in a secure location. You can also do this with any carry-on bags you might have, even if you do use Resort Airline Check-in.

Once you've got your bags handled, you can go off and enjoy some final time in the parks. To get your Magical Express bus, you'll need to return to your hotel.

    Enjoy your vacation!
