We are staying at WDW in late sept. and have upgraded the QS to theDP. It covers 2 meals and 1 snack but that leaves out breakfast or lunch each day. if we want to see a dinner show would it be wiser to upgrade to deluxe? we usually eat 3 meals a day.

    Hello, Jennifer!

No matter what, you are going to be so happy that you upgraded to the Disney Dining Plan!

Regarding an upgrade to the Deluxe Dining Plan, consider what three meals a day usually means to you. For breakfast, for example, you can have a cappuccino and warm cinnamon roll at Main Street Bakery, in Magic Kingdom Park; these each count as a snack on the Dining Plan. This leaves you with a Quick-Service entitlement as well as a Table-Service entitlement for the rest of the day.

On the other hand, we always include at least one character breakfast, which uses either one or two Table-Service entitlements. Later in the day, we are so full, we opt for a snack at lunch time and a great Quick-Service dinner, such as Epcot's Sunshine Seasons. (Their grilled salmon is melt-in-your-mouth delicious.)

Also of note, if you will be in Epcot as late as September 28th, that's the first day of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, where many of the specialties that are offered at additional International kiosks count as snacks on the Dining Plan.

If you are planning on attending one dinner show, then the Deluxe Dining Plan will certainly help with that.
If you'd also like to try enjoy a meal or two at a Signature Restaurant, such as The Hollywood Brown Derby, then an additional upgrade to the Deluxe Dining Plan will enable you to easily do so.

You are in a win-win situation, though, and are sure to love either of these two Dining Plans! Send more questions as you think of them; I'd love to help!
