Staying @ WDW Dec. 7-16 & have DD 14yrs on Dec. 3rd, DS 9, & DS 1. DH & I want a night out (anniversary). Kid Clubs only for the 9yr old and sitter not for over 12 (?). We aren't comfortable leaving her alone. Can you please offer suggestions?

    Hi Lisa:

    Congratulations on your upcoming anniversary.

Disney's Childrens' Activity Centers provide childcare for children between 3 and 12, so this option isn't ideal for you.  What I would do is to consider reserving an in-room baby sitter through Walt Disney World's preferred childcare provider, Kid's Nite Out. They provide Resort childcare services for children between 6 weeks and 12 years old.  However, in this situation, a Kids Nite Out representative informed me that if you are willing, you can sign a waiver and pay the sitter fee for your 14 year old, and your 14 year old can "tag along" with the sitter hired to watch your 9 year old and 1 year old.  So there will be eyes on all of your children, but I get the sense that the sitter will not technically be "responsible" for your eldest child.

For more information and to confirm if this arrangement is right for you, I would contact Kid's Nite Out at 1-800-696-8105.

    Enjoy your vacation.
