Hello! We will be staying at the All Star Sports Resort in Jan 2016! How long is the ride from the resort to the parks. Also, we are debating EPCOT. We have a 5 year old and think he may have more fun at the other parks. What are your thoughts? Thanks!

Hi Tammy! Thanks so much for your question. January might seem like a long way away, but the time will pass by so quickly and before you know it, your Walt Disney World vacation will be just around the river bend! Disney's All-Star Resorts share a bus system on off peak hours, with All- Star Sports being the first stop. During peak hours, buses go straight to individual resorts. With that being said, bus ride time really is going to depend on whether or not you have to pick up guests from other resorts. Generally speaking, since the All-Star Resorts are in the Animal Kingdom Resort area, it will be about a 10-15 minute ride to Disney's Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Epcot while a bus ride to the Magic Kingdom will be more of a 20-25 minute ride. Just to be safe, I always plan for a hour travel time one way for each bus ride. You never know what traffic or bus lines will look like, so its better to be safe than sorry.

Epcot, in my opinion, is a great place to learn about different countries and sustainability while experiencing some great attractions. My 6-year-old son has always had more fun in any of the other parks, so we don't spend too much time at Epcot when we travel. In fact, we mostly spend half a day at Epcot and 'hop' to the Magic Kingdom afterward. It is my opinion that Epcot is more geared towards adults, but that is, of course, only my personal opinion. I suggest you plan a day at Epcot and if you find that you'd rather spend time at another park, just make Epcot a half day! No harm done. I think it's always important to try something once so that you experience new things and form your own opinions.

If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to ask. Have a magical Walt Disney World vacation, and enjoy your stay at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort!
