Staying at all star music. How early do we need to be at the bus stop to arrive at the parks 30 minutes before opening? I heard parks sometimes open early. Do the characters still do a little welcome show. I thought that was special when I was little.

    Hi Lacy!

Congratulations on your fall vacation to Walt Disney World!

Since you're staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, you'll be able to take advantage of 'Extra Magic Hours' - where a designated park will be open an hour early in the morning, or stay open 3 hours later in the evening - just for resort guests!

To determine which parks will be operating Extra Magic Hours during your stay, consult the Park Hours Calendar online via the link I've provided.

The opening show at Magic Kingdom is one you won't want to miss! It begins about 10-15 minutes prior to the official opening of the Park. On regular mornings, that is at about 8:45am and on Extra Magic Mornings it would take place at about 7:45am. According to current information, Magic Kingdom opens at 9am during your vacation, with the exception of Thursday, October 25th which is slated to be an Extra Magic Morning, opening at 8am that day.

Transportation to the Parks from the Walt Disney World Resort properties begins 1 hour prior to each Park's opening time for that particular day. To ensure a great view of the opening festivities, you'll indeed want to be arriving at least 30 minutes prior to process bag check and park entry etc. I'd recommend that you plan to be at your resort's bus stop for the first bus at 8am on regular mornings or 7am on Extra Magic Morning. After you've arrived at Magic Kingdom, Choose a spot for your family with a clear view of the train station up above - and get ready to enjoy some fun!

Wishing you a simply Magical time on your Walt Disney World vacation Lacy!
