We will be staying at the All Star Music and have dinner reservations at Ohana on 9:30 Sunday evening. Magic Kingdom closes at 11 pm that evening. If we used Disney transportation what route do you suggest? Also do you think we'll have enough time?

    Hi Mary,

No worries! You should have no trouble getting back to the All-Star Music resort after your delicious late dinner at 'Ohana.

According to the current schedule, Magic Kingdom will close at 11 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 15, for guests who aren't staying in a Walt Disney World resort. But there are Extra Magic Hours for Disney resort guests until 1 a.m. So the buses will be running to the various resorts until about 2 a.m.

Once you finish your dinner at 'Ohana in the Polynesian, you can hop on the monorail at the platform just across the lobby from 'Ohana. It's only two stops to Magic Kingdom. From the Magic Kingdom monorail station, you easily can walk to the bus depot and find your ride back to your resort.

My family often books late dinner reservations at one of the monorail resorts on nights when Magic Kingdom has late Extra Magic Hours. We think Magic Kingdom is especially magical after 11 p.m., so we like to walk off our dinner with a late-night visit.

If you have park-hopper passes or have visited Magic Kingdom earlier that day with a base ticket, you may want to consider that option as well.

I hope that puts your mind at ease. Relax, enjoy your dinner and know that you can get "home" easily. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you. Your vacation is so close now. Enjoy!
