We are staying at All Star Movies resort. How long will it take to get to Chef Mickey's? To Akershus Royal Banquet Hall? I just want an idea of when I need to leave our resort with three kids to get to reservations. Thanks,

Hey there, Rachel! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I’m glad you stopped by with your question!

My family visited Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort for my youngest’s first visit and she absolutely loved it! Getting to see her favorite Toy Story characters, which stand about three stories tall at this resort, was incredible. We had a magical time!

Rachel, the rule of thumb when traveling within the Walt Disney World Resort is to give yourself about 90 minutes of travel time. But let me tell you about a super handy feature I recently discovered on the My Disney Experience Mobile app; turn by turn directions with a travel time estimate!

To locate this tool, simply log into the app, and towards the top, scroll through until you see the category you need. To answer your question, let’s look at travel to Chef Mickey at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Select Dining, use the filter tool to quickly locate the restaurant, then select Get Directions. From Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort to Chef Mickey, it’s showing an approximate travel time of 74 minutes. To Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot, it estimates 46 minutes. Pretty neat, huh? You can also find walking directions which come in super handy when touring the parks and finding your way between attractions and restaurants.

Rachel, I hope this helped answer your question! Have a magical time and say hi to the Fab-5 at Chef Mickey for me!

Hope to see you again real soon!
