We are staying on site at Port Orleans - Riverside for our trip in March, but my parents are staying offsite. Can they come see us at our hotel and can they use the buses (from park to resort) if they want to head back to our room for a mid day break?

    Hi Kelli!

Congratulations on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World! You are going to love Port Orleans Riverside. This resort is gorgeous and they have some fun recreation options, like riding surrey bikes, horse drawn carriages and fishing.

How lovely that your parents are visiting with you! Your parents may want to consider staying at Port Orleans as well and asking for an adjoining room. That would certainly make touring with them easier and more convenient.

Since they are staying offsite, if they visit you at your resort they will need to pay $25 to park. Since that is about the same cost as parking at the parks, you may want to consider just driving to the park all together. Please note that the amenities at the resort are for resort guests only, so your parents would be unable to use the pool, complimentary bus transportation or other resort services. They could, however, certainly visit you for a meal at your resort. If you have an Advanced Dining Reservation at Boatright's Dining Hall, they are welcome to come visit you and have a meal at your resort. When they arrive, they can tell the Cast Member at the gate that they are there for an Advanced Dining Reservation and they will be able to park for up to three hours at no cost.

They can also go back to the room with you midday for a rest by taking Disney transportation from the park to your resort.
