Staying at Saratoga on Timeshare and will be purchasing park tickets for 4-5 days. Can I purchase the Dining Plan for fewer nights than we are staying? We are staying 7 nights, but I would like to purchase the plan for only 4 or 5 nights. Thanks.

Hi Kim! It's nice to hear from another North Carolina gal! While you can purchase Disney park tickets for more or less nights than your resort stay, if you want the Dining Plan, you must purchase it for everyone in your party for your entire stay.  Thus, for your seven night stay, you would receive seven table-service meals, seven quick-service meals, and seven snacks on the standard Disney Dining Plan.

Even if you aren't visiting the parks every day, you can use your meal credits to dine at restaurants in the Disney resort hotels or at Downtown Disney. Also, some of the upscale, gourmet restaurants (known as "Signature Dining") cost two table-service credits per meal, so having extra Dining Plan credits would enable you to dine at some of these fine restaurants.

The only way that you could purchase the Dining Plan for fewer nights would be to book two reservations, such as one for 4-5 nights with the Dining Plan and then a shorter 2-3 night reservation without the Plan. However, it's possible you would have to change rooms when you check out and check back in, which could be a hassle.

If you decide you want to purchase the Dining Plan, be sure to add it to your reservation before you arrive -- if you're a Disney Vacation Club member or renting points from a member, you must add the Dining Plan at least three days prior to your stay.
