We are staying at Saratoga Springs in March, I have requested to stay in the Grandstand in the 8000 building, we have our kids and grandkids with us, grandkids 1st visit. Is the bus stop in the grandstand the first stop and best choice for using the bus

    Hi Richard!

March is right around the corner, so you must be getting excited for your upcoming vacation! Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is a great place to take the grandchildren. With not one, but two feature pools, and conveniently located near Downtown Disney, your family is sure to have a memorable vacation!

Which location is best at any resort is really a matter of opinion. You are correct that the Grandstand is the first bus stop. The advantage of this is that there is more likely to be room on the bus during busy times of the day. The disadvantage is that you will spend more time on the bus and need to factor a longer travel time into your journey.  The Grandstand is also nicely situated near Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course, which means a more relaxing and quieter experience. Please do keep in mind that while Cast Members will do their very best to meet your request, there is never a guarantee that your request will be able to be accommodated.

My preferred location is actually Congress Park. This is the second to last bus stop. My family prefers to travel to the parks to be there before opening, then we return for lunch and a nap or swim, and then we go back to the parks in the late afternoon. These tend to be low crowd times on the busses, so we have not encountered an issue with overcrowding. We like Congress Park since it is about a ten minute walk to High Rock Spring Pool and The Artist’s Palate, and also about a ten minute walk to the Downtown Disney Marketplace where we can grab a bite to eat or do some shopping.

I’m sure that no matter which are of the resort you stay in, you are going to make wonderful memories with your grandchildren. We will be visiting ourselves in just two weeks, and one of our trip highlights will be spending time with the out-of-state grandparents. Walt Disney World is the perfect place for a multi-generational vacation!

    Wishing you vacation magic!
