Hi! We will be staying on property for the first two days then moving off site for the last four days. Will I still be able to use my magic band at the parks on those off site days? We are planning on a 6 day park ticket to use for the week. Thank you!

    Hi Christine,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so excited that you'll be escaping to sunny Florida for a magical winter getaway at the Walt Disney World Resort next February! You're going to LOVE it!

I'm happy to let you know that yes, you'll still be able to use your MagicBand even once you've moved to a hotel off-site. The battery in it actually lasts for around two years, so you'll be able to use it on this vacation and any others that you plan in the next couple of years! While you'll still be able to use your MagicBand to enter the theme parks, check in at FastPass+ queues, and connect PhotoPass photos to your My Disney Experience account, you won't be able to use it to charge any purchases to your room or enter your hotel room without a valid Disney Resort hotel reservation.

I'd definitely encourage you to log in to your My Disney Experience account and personalize your complimentary MagicBand at least 11 days before your Disney Resort hotel stay. I don't want to spoil anything, but personalizing it could unlock some fun surprises for you!

Please let us know if you have any other questions as you're planning your trip, Christine, and have a truly magical vacation!
