We're staying at Port Orleans-French Quarter. We'd love to take our toddler to a character meal where Mickey or Goofy will be. What's the easiest-to-get-to option if we're relying on Disney transportation?

    Hello, Meredith!

There are some fantastic character dining experiences that offer both Mickey Mouse and Goofy. Using Complimentary Resort Transportation is a convenient way to get you where you need to go. Here are a few suggestions:

         • Donald’s Dining Safari at Tusker House (Animal Kingdom) Safari Mickey, Donald, Daisy and Goofy greet Guests at this African-inspired all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet at breakfast and lunch only. Transportation: Take bus from your resort to Animal Kingdom.
         • Minnie’s Seasonal Dining at Hollywood & Vine (Hollywood Studios) Minnie, Mickey, Donald, Daisy and Goofy greet for dinner only with a changing theme. Transportation: Take bus from your resort to Hollywood Studios.
         • Chef Mickey's (Disney’s Contemporary Resort) offers Fab Five at breakfast, brunch and dinner. Transportation: Take bus from your resort to the Magic Kingdom and monorail to Contemporary.
         • Mickey's Backyard BBQ (Disney's Fort Wilderness) a music-filled dinner and show with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald. Transportation: Take bus from your resort to the Magic Kingdom and boat to Fort Wilderness.

Keep in mind that some restaurants offer characters at some meals while others have characters throughout the day. Of course, character appearances are subject to change without notice, and advanced dining reservations are highly recommended. Reservations can be made online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. Please visit us again should you have other questions or want more dining suggestions! We are hEAR to help!

    Happy Planning!
