Port Orleans Resort French Quarter Pool

I am staying at Port Orleans - French Quarter in March. I have kite that I have flown on vacations across the United States. It there an area anywhere at WDW that I can fly my kite safely?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Alan! Mary Poppins would be happy to hEAR you singing, "Let's Go Fly a Kite!"

I checked the Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, and I could not find any mention of kite flying under prohibited activities. I also spoke with Guest Services, and they confirmed that while you'll be unable to fly your kite in any of the theme parks, you are welcome to do so at the Walt Disney World Resort hotels if there is space. Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter has a beautiful area right along the Sassagoula River, and that would be the perfect place to send your kite soaring up through the atmosphere, up where the air is clear

While you're in Magic Kingdom Park, make sure to stop by the Liberty Tree Tavern, where they have a replica of Ben Franklin's famous kite in the window. I also recommend adding the Epcot Forever nighttime spectacular to your list of things to do! I think you'll enjoy the illuminated kites, which are pulled by jet skis around the World Showcase Lagoon. The kites change colors as the music changes, and the show is a soothing way to end a busy day.

I hope you have a vacation that is practically perfect in every way, Alan!
