Will be staying at Port Orleans French Quarter in February. I have a special needs son that cannot walk long distances. What building would you recommend that is not too far from the parking lot?

Hi Andrea! February is a great month to visit Walt Disney World -- attendance levels in the parks are generally fairly low for much of the month, which means you can experience lots of attractions with minimal waiting.

Port Orleans French Quarter is smaller than its sister resort, Port Orleans Riverside, so you won't have a huge amount of walking from most spots. Buildings 1, 3, 4, and 7 are closest to the parking lots. Buildings 3 and 4 are also closest to the bus stop and the main areas of the resort, which would make them especially convenient for you. I recommend that you call 407-939-1936 and have the reservation agent note on your reservation that you need a room close to the parking lot due to your son's special needs. Make sure you reiterate the request when you check in.

Wishing you a magical February vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We'd love to help!
