We are staying at POR in the first week of Dec. Our party is 8 people Does anyone have advice on using cellphones so that our party can split up and get back together. We are from Canada and don't want to incur roaming charges. Rentals? Other plans?

    Hi Scott!

The last time we visited Walt Disney World we decided to use walkie-talkies instead of cell phones because we had a large party and we didn't want to incur roaming charges on our cell phones to stay in contact. There are several that have a long-range and you won't incur any roaming charges. It will alllow you to stay in constant contact.

Another option is to buy a pre-paid cell phone, such as a TracPhone, when you arrive. You can by the phone and airline cards and simply use those to communicate while you are at Walt Disney World. This will help you not incur roaming charges and the prices of these phones are very reasonable. There are no contracts or monthly plans and you can just discard the phone after your trip.

    Magically,
    Stacy
