Staying at POR, check in time 3pm. Can we check in earlier as we will arrive at Disney late morning after catching a 1am flight from Vegas. Would love to be able to shower & change before heading off to explore Disney. Happy to pay for an early check i

    Hi Robert,

There is no such thing at paying for an early check-in time at the Disney resort hotels. Basically what you'd have to do is pay for an additional night. They would hold the room for your (very) late arrival. This would give you a chance to sleep for a few hours and freshen up before heading out to the parks.

Many guest in your situation will actually book a room at the Hyatt that's actually in Orlando International Airport. This way, you can get right to sleep when your plane arrives. You can then take Disney's Magical Express to your Disney hotel in the morning. Or if you have a rental car, you could drive directly to the theme parks and check into your resort later in the day.

When I've been in your situation, I've booked a room at the least expensive WDW hotel possible for just the few hours that I'll need it, then move later to whatever my primary hotel is.

And just to clarify, you'd be welcome to show up at your primary hotel in the middle of the night. The front desk is staffed 24 hours. You'd be allowed to register at the hotel in the wee hours of the morning. The front desk can then give you any park passes or dining plan credits you've purchased and can set up your Key to the World Card with charging privileges if you desire. They can even hold your luggage for you at Bell Services. The only thing they can't do for you is give you a room.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
