I am staying at Pop, and will be online check in. My goal is to drive to the TTC when I arrive, and take the ferry to MK. It's my friend's first time, and thought that would be perfect. Will this work and still get the free parking and working tick

    Hi Jonathan,

I want to encourage you to "POP" by and complete your check-in experience at Disney's Pop Century Resort before heading off to your Pixie Dusted first day at Magic Kingdom Park.

First, when you enter through the expedited queue for those Guests who have completed Online Check-in through My Disney Experience, you will be in and out in just minutes. A friendly Cast Member can verify all of the information on your Resort reservation, ensure that your MagicBands are linked and functioning properly, and activate any Disney Dining Plan Credits that you may have. This ensures that the rest of your stay is only magical.

Also, while all Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Guests are entitled to free parking at the theme parks, you must have a method to verify your reservation.  When you arrive at your Resort Hotel, a Cast Member in the Parking area will ask for your name and Identification, and then will issue you a parking permit for your windshield. This signals to the parking attendants at the theme parks that you should be free to park without payment.

Finally, I love to enter the "Disney Bubble" from the start of my vacation all the way through to the end.  For me, part of that happens the moment that I park my vehicle and rely on the Complimentary Resort Transportation.  With your plan to visit Magic Kingdom Park first in particular, this is much more convenient.
The Bus system picks up right in front of the Main Lobby area and will drop you off in the bus loop just a quick stroll from the security area of the theme park.  If you decide to drive your private vehicle, as you mentioned, you would park in the lot across Bay Lake. Then you board a tram to the Transportation & Ticket Center, followed by the Ferry or Express Monorail to the gates of Magic Kingdom Park.

    Wishing you many magical moments!
