I am staying in Pop Century Aug 19 - Aug 28. I was told that I should change to A moderate to get the dinning plan that might be offered for free. Is that a possibility?

Hi Yvette! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

My family loves Disney’s Pop Century Resort. In my opinion it is such a great family resort and is really kid friendly. We love that it transports us back to our childhood with all of the memorabilia on the walls and themes of decades past.

At this time I do not see any Free Dining Special Offers for your travel dates. In the past there may have been free dining offered during that time but unfortunately there is really no way to tell if that will be offered again this upcoming season. In my opinion I wouldn’t change resorts at this time if you are happy with your resort choice. The reason is because when Special Offers are released there are a limited number of offers available and that offer isn’t automatically applied to your stay. You have to actually call to update your package based on the availability of the Special Offer. So say for instance you decided to change Resort hotels now, the free dining offer that you are hoping for gets released but the hotel that chose for your stay doesn’t have availability for that offer. You may have to choose yet another Resort hotel to take advantage of that Special offer.

So my suggestion is to stay at Disney’s Pop Century Resort if that is where you feel most comfortable. Keep watching for Special Offers. If you see a Special Offer that is appealing to you, call the reservations center and ask if they can apply the offer to your package. It is at this point that you potentially may have to change Resort hotels. Don’t be afraid to ask the Cast Member assisting you what is the best and most cost effective option!

I hope that I have helped to answer your question! Have an Unforgettable time!
