Staying at pop cent. in Oct with a 8 and 6 year old boy and girl does this resort have enough to keep them happy on our off day from the parks? Also have had people say we should get a stroller and some people say not? Thoughts??

Hi Tammy! Go Packers!  Pop Century happens to be my favorite value resort and it has many who find it better then even the moderates! Your kids will love the larger then life decor throughout the resort and you can now cross the bridge to visit and discover the newest value, Art of Animation.

The resort has a great lobby with a large store attached as well as a large and very good food court. I was pleasantly surprised at all the choices it offered for all meals throughout the day.  Your kids can bounce from pool to pool as the resort has three of them and all cleverly themed in shapes of bowling pins, computers and flower. There is a soft surface playground with an interactive water fountain and an arcade so being bored is probably not going to happen here.

The question of strollers is a tough one as only you know your children and their stamina and needs. My grandson walked out of his stroller at the age of four and has not used one since and he is now 6.  We don't keep a racing pace in the parks but he does keep up well. The one park that is the hardest is Epcot especially if it is a warm sunny day as that walk around the World Showcase can be long.  We take breaks at the different countries and that helps. If you choose to take a stroller I suggest a simple umbrella type that can be easily folded (must be done on all buses and some boats) and easily located when parking it for attractions. I think you will find your children might use it at times but certainly won't need or want a stroller all day every day. The umbrella strollers are far less hassle then even those you can rent in the parks. If you don't want to bring your own you can purchase a very nice sturdy one with canopy at almost any shop in the resorts or parks for about $55 the last I noted. Hope this helps and gives you some insight about this question.
